McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a Centralized Parts Manager.
The primary functions of the Centralized Parts Manager are to provide tactical support for the implementation and execution of the parts processes and drive financial results in parts. This role will also support numerous centralized responsibilities to ensure consistent and optimized execution across all locations. The Centralized Parts Manager is responsible for the parts operations for assigned locations of MCF and will provide direction to the locations regarding parts processes, policies, orders, returns, and inventory management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Execute the centralize parts ordering process for both John Deere and other applicable vendors
- Manage JD PRISIM for DSO, transfers, and returns for assigned locations
- Create and support a unified supply base to enhance purchased leverage and minimize cost
- Support overall inventory management including inventory accuracy (cycle counts), storage practices, zero sales, turns, and fill rate. Responsible for supporting the execution of the zero sales parts process and disposition
- Analyze parts fill rate for assigned locations and collaborate with RPM to adjust stocking parameters
- Responsible for managing the return processes and cycles for all vendors. For non-Deere vendors, establish a returns schedule by vendor and assist assigned locations with non-Deere returns
- Influence hiring decisions on key parts employees. Participate in parts manager interviews
- Support an onboarding program for all new parts employees and ongoing coaching and training support for existing employees
- Provide ongoing support/input to accounting on parts related processes/issues/questions
- Support systems for managing parts processes
- Provide guidance on a consistent showroom layout, effectiveness, and overall image
- Drive financial results in parts through executing key initiatives, process improvements, and identifying new revenue streams
- Support and aid implementation of key parts marketing strategies
- Support documenting and maintaining parts process information
- Drive analytical projects to maximize Deere program performance and overall parts business performance
- Coordinate with John Deere and other vendors on parts purchase programs to maximize margins.
- Support development of parts department budgets
- Maintain regular onsite attendance
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor
- Willingness to travel
Education, Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Degree in an Engineering/Technology/Marketing discipline or equivalent experience. (University degree, 4 years or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years related C&F Industry/Equipment experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Substantial knowledge of parts processes, accounting, and financials
- Strong organizational skills with high capacity/throughput
- Comfortable with managing risk
- Demonstrated knowledge and capacity to learn and grow with technology
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
