History

BOB MCCOY, SR.

was well known in and around the rural Southwest Wisconsin community, having lived in the region his entire 35 years. A decade earlier, he drove his own milk route, collecting Grade B milk from the region’s abundant dairy farms for delivery to Brewery Hill Cheese factory. He used to be a cheese-maker, before becoming a long-distance trucker. He later co-owned Mc-Mor-Han Trucking Company, which had been hauling livestock and fertilizer for eight years, and had been selling GMC pick-up trucks since 1958. More than 60 years after Shullsburg, the McCoy Group has grown into a corporation with six subsidiaries that reaches across North America. Currently, the McCoy Group consists of Truck Country/Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer, Foodliner, Quest Liner, Foodliner Mexico/Quest Liner Mexico and McCoy Construction & Forestry, employing more than 4,000 people.
