Graphic Designer

McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South Central Regions, has an opening for a Graphic Designer at their Corporate Office in Dubuque IA.



The Graphic Designer manages design and production of planned marketing initiatives by performing the following duties personally or with administrative support.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):


  • With oversight from the Director of Marketing, execute marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share
  • Provide branding direction and oversees execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signage
  • Creates and coordinates the production and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to execute online marketing plans
  • Assist with growing customer database that can be used effectively in marketing initiatives
  • Adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands; change approach or method to best fit the situation
  • Develop project plans; coordinate projects; communicate changes and progress; complete projects on time and budget; manage project team activities
  • Provide analysis and regular status reports on marketing programs effectiveness and ROI
  • Helps establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Generate creative solutions; translate concepts and information into images; use feedback to modify designs; apply design principles
  • Other duties as required and assigned
  • Maintain regular on-site attendance



Education, Skills & Knowledge Required:


  • Four-year college or university degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and contact management systems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Reliable, motivated, and driven to deliver quality workmanship
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents



Work Environment:


  • Ability to sit frequently and for long durations
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
  • Some travel is required
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate
