November 25, 2024

McCoy Construction & Forestry teams up with Brandt Industries for the metal recycling industry.

At McCoy Construction & Forestry, we always look for ways to enhance our offerings and better serve our customers. We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Brandt Industries, a collaboration that promises to transform the metal recycling landscape. This strategic alliance brings the innovative Brandt material handler into our product lineup, enabling us to provide more reliable solutions to our clients.

A shared commitment

Our partnership with Brandt Industries is built on a shared philosophy: putting the customer first. Jason Klassen, Brandt's senior vice president of sales, said, “We are excited to serve the metal recycling industry by partnering with a company that shares our belief in putting customers and their needs first.”

This synergy allows McCoy Construction & Forestry to expand our reach and deliver top-tier material handling equipment tailored to the needs of our customers.

Introducing the Brandt material handler

The Brandt BMH40A wheeled scrap material handler is a game changer in the recycling sector. As the only material handler designed, manufactured, and supported in North America, it stands out for its reliability and efficiency.

Built using the industry-proven Final Tier 4 John Deere PowerTech 6.8L engine, the material handler provides users with fast and easy operation as it delivers 223 horsepower at 1,900 RPMs. The machine’s boom/arm and attachments come equipped with market-leading swing torque and swing speed for fast and smooth functionality.

Strategic advantage for our customers

McCoy Construction & Forestry is perfectly positioned to deliver the Brandt material handler to metal recycling businesses in our regions. Jeff Herkert, president of McCoy Construction & Forestry, expressed excitement about the collaboration.

“We’ve compared the Brandt material handler to their competitors, and our takeaway is that Brandt has a better product, as well as the exceptional product knowledge and support needed for us to be responsive to our customers,” Herkert said.

With 25 locations across the Midwest and South, McCoy Construction & Forestry dealerships are strategically located to provide service and parts to our customer base.

Additionally, the BMH40A is constructed to make maintenance quick and fast. The engine oil, fuel and hydraulic oil filters are all situated on the right side of the machine; the programmed reversing cooling fan keeps radiators free of debris; and undercarriage grease points are easily accessible, making daily inspections easy to conduct.

Safety first

McCoy Construction & Forestry and Brandt Industries’ commitment to safety is second to none.

The BMH40A features full perimeter handrails on top of the machine and cab platform, with ground access on all four sides. The machine’s dual underslung boom and arm cylinders are equipped with anti-fracture check valves to prevent load drop, while the factory-programed rotary arm encoders ensure the grapple does not hit the cab while in operation.

Why choose the Brandt material handler?

When it comes to equipment, reliability, dependability, durability and safety are non-negotiable. The engineering and construction behind Brandt products are designed with these principles, making the BMH40A material handler a standout choice. The McCoy Construction & Forestry team is committed to ensuring that our customers receive a superior product, but also the support needed to maximize its potential.
